New Yorker's Calvin Trillin reflects on a visit to Oaxaca

The latest New Yorker is their “Food Issue”, and contains several interesting pieces, most notably a charming account by Calvin Trillin of a recent visit to see his daughter and her family who are spending a few months in Oaxaca.  Lots of references to many of the local markets and to the abundant variety of masa-based antojitos (little whims) that one can find there.  It’s a particularly relevant piece for me and my wife Rachel who someday look forward to doing an extended stay of our own in Oaxaca with our family someday….



And here is a blog written by his daughter Abigail that documents their stay – makes you want to go live in Oaxaca, eh?
