Dia de los Muertos!

November 1st, 2016
Tonight and tomorrow night we will be celebrating Dia de los Muertos at Comal.
To mark the occasion, our front façade windows feature matching “calavera” paintings on both sides of the front door by our good friend Jose Ruiz, who will also be doing a special DJ set tonight featuring songs that nod to the theme of death in some fashion.
We’ll also be sending everyone home with a piece of “pan de muerto” (bread of the dead), baked at Berkeley’s own Casa Latina. The pan de muerto is a traditional sweet bread decorated with bones to represent lost loved ones.
Hope you can make it by tonight or tomorrow night to join in the festivities!
